Code for Stanford

I've quite often thought about my life and with the article My way I've tried to document my previous career and also tried to get clearer in my own mind. I know, some might think why does this guy does even write about his life on such a technology blog; just publish the sources and a few new techniques but do not bore us with your private stuff. But after a few pitfalls I would like to start a new chapter in my life, in which I work under the title Code for Stanford, a principle programming initiative similar to Googles Google summer of code for my own . Even as I've written the previous article, I had the desire to continue my studies at Stanford University in America. Unfortunately, I do not have endless money in my bank account and also I am not from the USA, so that I am not eligible fir financial support from the university and I also have no interest in binding me to a scholarship. Because of these reasons, I want to try and make this dream become reality by establishing a financial base, according to the principle of "Every man forges his own destiny". Alas, it isn't just pocket-money that I need to study at Stanford, so I imposed a tight schedule on myself. The idea behind the whole thing is the following: In the coming year, I'd like to develop several projects published in different time intervals. On the one hand, commercial projects to realize long overdue ideas and on the other hand OpenSource-projects in order to learn new techniques and to give something back to the community.
I think many people do something special. Now for me the time has come to build something special of my own. Of course, the OpenSource-projects are not really complex and mostly aim at being a proof of concept. As I said, most of these small projects are there to learn new techniques, and there is really a lot to learn I think. For that reason such an university, e.g. Stanford, is predestined to accumulate massive knowledge. But why Stanford? From the very beginning it was my intention to find a solution for every question. But unfortuntaley time is not on my side. If you would like to acquire accessible knowledge, you have to spend way too much time on understanding the ideas behind everything. But there's an easier way to gather such knowledge, e.g. by being admintted to an institution where people are passionately seeking knowledge. I think knowledge is an important - if not a sacred commodity. For this reason I've chosen Stanford, because there are almost unique conditions to fulfill the pursuit of expanding my knowledge.
If somebody would like to take advantage of my private hackathon, feel free to contact me. In the last years I was very busy with developing high-performance and highly reliable websites under an economic point of view. I would be happy to design or implement projects where the focus lies on the aforementioned criterias.
Okay, I think it would be a really tough year, but it will be worthwhile in every regard.
